China World Trade Center 3B is one of the only two supertall skyscrapers currently under construction in China’s capital city Beijing.
As of Sept 7th, after topped out for half a year, the tower’s cladding is still being installed and still 2 floors left to reach the bottom of the crown of the building. And in the same time the crown is also being consummated.
Take a look at the picture which was shot earlier in September:
There seems no significant progress on the cladding in comparison with what was seen in July:
As seen in the picture which was taken from earlier this month, there’s still 3 floors of cladding left from the bottom of the crown which is currently wrapped in scaffolding.
Below are more pictures of the tower taken on September 6th:
By the later in September, we finally see something remarkable occurred, the recent pictures show the catwalk ring which had been around a upper floor has been removed,
According to the design, the crown is vacant and the building’s roof is only about 300 meters from ground.
From the render of the tower we can see the facade of the crown and the rest of the tower are not the same, no cladding need to be installed on crown, the crown has been wrapped by scaffolding while the construction keeps taking place within it, now the crown has almost been completed, it can be seen from the picture that the workers have started to dismantle the scaffolding, showing the there’s a big difference on crown from what is seen in the rendering, but a bit similar to its brother the China World Trade Tower 3.
Keeping this pace we will see the completion of the exterior of the tower in less than a month.
