1. Sky Bar at Lebua Bangkok

The most visited rooftop bar in Bangkok is Sky Bar at Lebua Bangkok, the bar is on the rooftop of the 63-story State Tower, which is a very iconic tower that has a large golden dome on the top.


At a height of 220 meters (722ft) above the ground, Sky Bar had been the world's highest open-air bar before 2016, it was only surpassed after the opening of the nearby MahaNakhon Skywalk, which contains a small bar on the observation deck.
The State Tower is located very close to Chao Phraya River, though not as close as the Millennium Hilton Bangkok (introduced below) is, it's compensated with a much higher height, making the Sky Bar one of the best places to enjoy the panoramic view of Chao Phraya River.

Red Sky and CRU Champagne Bar are two adjacent rooftop bars on the top of Centara Grand At CentralWorld, Red Sky is more notable and spans multiple floors, while CRU Champagne Bar is a newer one and is on the uppermost floor, it serves an exclusive Champagne that is known as G.H. Mumm No.1 Pink.

The special design of the building makes several outdoor terraces irregularly placed on different heights on the top, so both bars have open-air space, even CRU Champagne Bar is higher. The bars offer 360 degree view of the skyline of Bangkok, some landmark buildings can be seen closely from there, including the former tallest building in the city, the 88-story Baiyoke Tower II.


The location of these two bars is more accessible than others, since it's also where the famous shopping mall CentralWorld located, and some other famous malls like Siam Paragon and MBK are also in close proximity to it.

3. Vertigo & Moon Bar at Banyan Tree Bangkok

Vertigo & Moon Bar is a bar and also a restaurant on the top of the 60-story Thai Wah Tower II.

The bar contains indoor and outdoor spaces, the outdoor part occupies the entire rectangular-shaped terrace on the rooftop of the building, appears like on a ship in the sky.


The bar offers incredible view of skyscrapers in Central Business District of Bangkok, and more notably, it offers a close and panoramic view of the scenic Lumphini Park, the city's central park.

Moreover, the bar opens from 6pm daily, earlier than many other rooftop bars in the city, making it also an ideal place to enjoy the sunset view. The bar also offers a cocktail named Vertigo Sunset, great for enjoying one in the same time when the sun sets over the city.

4. Three Sixty at Millennium Hilton Bangkok

Three Sixty Lounge is a rooftop bar at top of the Millennium Hilton Bangkok Hotel, a 32-story building right beside the Chao Phraya River.

It is not as high as some other rooftop bars on this list, but the views it offers is probably the best among them, none of other bars offer such a close and impressive aerial view of Chao Phraya River.

The bar is composed of an indoor area and an outdoor area: the indoor area is set within that iconic flying saucer on the edge of the building facing the river. Thanks to its position, and the large panoramic windows and dimmed lights, this indoor space is ideal for enjoying the panoramic view of Chao Phraya River.

The outdoor area is at a large rectangular terrace one floor below the flying saucer, it offers the view of the river and some historical buildings around the area, the important thing is that the view is not blocked by the glass of windows and is hence more incredible.

5. Octave Rooftop Bar at Bangkok Marriott Hotel Sukhumvit

Octave Rooftop Bar is a multiple-level sky bar on the top of the 39-story Marriott Executive Apartments, a tower designed in postmodern style on Sukhumvit Road, the bar starts from the 38th floor of the tower, spanning 3 levels up to the rooftop, and all 3 levels contain open-air space. The bar is the first rooftop bar opened on Sukhumvit Road.


The bar is not in a central location like that of above ones, but also easily accessible, only a few minutes walk from Thong Lo BTS Skytrain Station, and also it is not as crowded as those bars in central locations, so it will be much easier to find a seat with a great view.

The west and north sides of the bar offer a panoramic view of a large cluster of skyscrapers around the city center, and the south side offers a clear view of Chao Phraya River, and Bang Krachao, a large green space by the river that is known as the city's green lung.
