Dubai is well known for its huge amount of skyscrapers, the city currently has over 25 buildings higher than 300 meters built, which is much more than any other city in the world.
The city is still a busy construction site for skyscrapers, aside from those completed towers, Dubai currently has many towers above 300 meters under construction or proposed listed below.
Buildings Under Construction (9):
As of February 2023, there are 9 supertall skyscrapers under construction in Dubai, not including on-hold projects, which are listed in the next section.
City Tower 1

City Tower 1 is a supertall skyscraper to be built on the west side of Sheikh Zayed Road, a 30-story office building with the same name was demolished to make place for the skyscraper. The construction has started in September 2022. The tower was initially proposed to be 358m tall with 83 stories, now 18 extra floors are added to the design, it will surely surpass the 400 meters mark.
Ciel Tower

Initially proposed by Immo Prestige Holdings in 2016 as S Residence, which was designed by Atkins and would be 356m tall. In 2018, The First Group took over the project and renamed the building Ciel Tower, the new building will be 10 meters taller than originally proposed, and will overtake the title of world's tallest hotel building from the 356m-tall Gevora Hotel in Downtown Dubai.
Il Primo Tower 1

This tower is located in close proximity to Burj Khalifa, it has architecturally topped out at 356m but the construction works on the façade is still ongoing.
Uptown Tower

Also known as Uptown Dubai Tower 2, it's a part of a complex called Uptown Dubai, which will also include a 711-meter-high megatall tower. The tower is being built in The DMCC Business Park, a district only a few kilometers south of Dubai Marina.
One Zaabeel Residential Tower
Standard height: 330 meters

Location: near Downtown
The complex consists of a residential tower and a commercial tower, with a distinctive floating bridge connecting each other, the sky bridge is at 100 meters high. Both towers have topped out and the installing of façades are about to be finished.
Adventz Tower

This is another supertall skyscraper under construction on the west side of Sheikh Zayed Road, this one's location is closer to the southern end of the road, hence close to the Burj Khalifa, and the iconic Address Sky View Towers are located across the road from it.
The tower will be for residential use, offering two-, three-, four-bedroom residential units, and the top part will contain 8 penthouses, including a triplex, two duplexes, and 5 full-floor penthouses.
The tower is scheduled to be completed in 2026.
Al Wasl Tower

The form of this tower is much more complicated compared with other normal buildings, the developer aims to build a vertical city that has multiple functions, including a museum and even a vertical garden aside from those normal space that used for offices, hotels, residential uses. The tower has topped out in 2021.
Cavalli Tower

In 2018, DAMAC Properties proposed for a 300-meter skyscraper called Seanic Tower to be built on the north side of the supertall cluster in Dubai Marina, it was then replaced by this new proposal in 2021. Cavalli Tower will be as tall as Seanic Tower, but has a more interesting design. The construction has begun in 2022.

The buildings listed below are proposed to be built in Dubai and construction works on some of them had started but is on hold now, while some other building will start to be built soon.
Dubai Creek Tower

Dubai One

Dubai One will be built in a new district in the vicinity of Downtown, the district is named Meydan City. The tower will be topped out at a height of 711 meters with no tapering, and no spires or antennas atop the peak like on Burj Khalifa that for getting an extra amount of height. An observation deck will be added to the uppermost floor which is at 695 meters from the ground.
Uptown Dubai Tower 1

Previously named Burj 2020, the tower was proposed to catering to the 2020 World EXPO and set to become the tallest commercial building in the world, the tower is currently on hold, but its sister building Uptown Tower is currently under construction.

Burj Binghatti Jacob & Co

Emeriati property development company Binghatti and the watchmaker Jacob & Co are collaborating to build a residential tower in Business Bay, the tower is set to become the world's tallest residential tower, surpassing the 472-meter-tall Central Park Tower in New York City. The tower will have over 100 stories that are made of lavish two- and three-bedroom condos, as well as 5 penthouses, and will be topped with a crown composed of many glittering spires.
Entisar Tower

The former design of Dubai Pearl consists of four supertall skyscrapers, and connected by a super-long bridging structure on the roof. The construction suspended for many years. The building will be redesigned and demolition works has begun in 2022.

As is shown above, the amount of skyscrapers in development in Dubai is really huge, we can predict that within 5 to 10 years there’ll be almost 50 supertall skyscrapers built in Dubai, and some of them rise more than 500 meters or even over 1000 meters.
