Wuhan is a city located at central area of China alongside the Yangzhi River, it's the major transportation and commercial hub in Central China.
Wuhan is often regarded as the Eastern version of Chicago, for it situated at the central place of China as Chicago situated at the similar point in United States and has considerable area of lakes and now, it is getting more and more skyscrapers, just very similar to Chicago. In terms of the number of supertall skyscrapers, it starts to surpass Chicago after these years of construction boom while Chicago has been quiet for a long time, though there's a 362m tall supertall being built, it still cannot catch up with Wuhan temporarily.
For supertall skyscrapers, Wuhan now has 3 built, and more than 10 being developed, and it is expected that within a year it will get the nation's tallest building, the 636m Greenland Center.

The Tower set to become the tallest building of China, with a height of 636 meters, it's 4 meters taller than Shanghai Tower, which is current tallest building of China. They chose that height was only for the title of tallest, its former design height was only 606 meters, when developer was informed that Shanghai Tower is 632 meters, they increase their tower to 636 meters.
The building is based on a triangle shape footprint, a design inspired by Burj Khalifa, they are both designed by Adrian Smith, such design could effectively withhold the wind pressure at higher floors.

It's a shame that this new twin towers is only 14 meters left to become the tallest twin towers of the world. However, their roofs is higher.
