Below is a list of the top 10 tallest buildings in Mexico.
Like its neighbor the United States, Mexico also has a great amount of skyscrapers. The tallest skyscrapers in Mexico are mainly concentrated in Mexico City and Monterrey Metropolitan area, the latter includes the city of Monterrey and San Pedro Garza García, which is a suburb of Monterrey, but actually appears more like a downtown, for it contains more skyscrapers than the city center.

Other cities in the country, like Guadalajara, Puebla, Zapopan, also have many skyscrapers built, but currently none of them are in the top 10 of the country.

1. T.Op Tower 1

T.Op Tower 1 is a supertall tower recently built in Monterrey, the tower is located on Avenida Constitución, one of the main avenues of the city.
With a height of 306 meters, the tower has become the tallest skyscraper in Mexico upon its completion in March 2020, surpassed the 280-meter KOI Tower in San Pedro Garza García, and also becomes the tallest building in Latin America, surpassed the 300-meter Gran Torre Santiago in Chile, which had held that title since 2012.
The building has 64 floors and houses a Hilton Garden Hotel on the top 8 floors, which has 176 rooms.

2. Torre KOI

Torre KOI is a 280-meter skyscraper located in the Valle Oriente district, San Pedro Garza García. Before the completion of T.Op, it was the tallest building in Monterrey Metropolitan Area, and also the tallest in the country.
The tower is the centerpiece of the VAO complex, which consists of 4 highrise buildings, Torre KOI is the tallest one, other 3 buildings are respectively 172m, 104m, and 46m.

Torre Reforma is the tallest skyscraper in Mexico City, it is located on Paseo de la Reforma, a wide avenue that runs across the heart of the city and has a significant amount of skyscrapers built on its two sides. The building sits a few steps east of Torre Mayor (An iconic skyscraper with green-colored facade, will be introduced below), and is built adjacent to a historic 1930s building, which was once planned to be demolished to make space for Torre Reforma, eventually it was reserved and is being used as the main entrance to the skyscraper.
The building has 57 stories, and has a total of 35 elevators, it's along with the WTC Tower in the city as the building with most elevators in Latin America.
The building can withstand earthquakes of 9.0 degrees on the Richter scale.

4. Chapultepec Uno

Previously known as Punto Chapultepec, this building is built on the west end of Paseo de la Reforma, and immediately west of Torre Mayor, overlooking Chapultepec, a large city park. The building has 58 stories, part of them are occupied by a Ritz Carlton hotel.

5. Torre BBVA

Previously known as Torre BBVA Bancomer, the tower serves as the headquarters of BBVA Mexico, Mexico's largest bank. The building is located south of Torre Mayor across the avenue Paseo de la Reforma.
The building has 50 stories, the official height is 235 meters, which is measured to the heliport on the rooftop, there are decorative structures above that, which bring the total height to 250 meters.

6. Metropolitan Center Torre III

Metropolitan Center Torre III is recently built in early 2020, it has become the second tallest building in San Pedro Garza Garcia, it is part of a complex called Metropolitan Center, which also contains another two shorter towers.
The tower is also known as Hotel Safi Metropolitan, as it is owned by Safi Royal Luxury Hotels, which also co-developed it, the 56-story tower is in mixed-use, partially used as hotel, also contains office floors.

7. Torre Mayor

Torre Mayor is a 55-story skyscraper on Paseo de la Reforma, Mexico City, the tower is located between Chapultepec Uno and Torre Reforma, it's built on the former location of the Chapultepec cinema. The tower was originally called Torre Chapultepec, for it's located very close to Chapultepec Park and was taller than any other building there.
With a height of 225 meters, the tower was also the tallest building in Latin America from its completion in 2003, to 2010, when Ocean Two in Panama surpassed it by 11 meters.
Torre Mayor was designed to be able to withstand earthquakes of 9.0 degrees on the Richter scale, even today it's still one of the strongest buildings in the world in terms of earthquake resistance.

8. Pabellon M

Pabellon M is a skyscraper located in downtown Monterrey, and same as T.Op, it's also on Avenida Constitución, but 2.8km east to it. The building is an icon of downtown Monterrey, for it's the only skyscraper in that area, most skyscrapers in Monterrey are actually located in the city's suburb San Pedro Garza García, not downtown.
The building has 50 stories, the first eleven are occupied by the 5-star Fiesta Americana Hotel, above that are office floors.

9. The Pemex Executive Tower

Built in 1982, the Pemex Executive Tower is the second oldest skyscraper in Mexico City, only built later than Torre Latinoamericana, which was built in 1956.
The tower held the title of the tallest building in Mexico for 21 years, until 2003, when the Torre Mayor was completed.
The building is located in the Verónica Anzures neighborhood of the city, it's about 1.6km north of Torre Mayor on Paseo de la Reforma.
From its opening, the Pemex Executive Tower has been used as headquarters of Pemex, a state-owned company and one of the largest petroleum companies in the world, there are approximately 7,000 employees of Pemex working in the tower.
The tower was designed to withstand earthquakes of 8.5 degrees on the Richter scale, it's the strongest building built in that time.

10. Torre Paradox

Torre Paradox is a residential tower located in Santa Fe, Mexico City, Santa Fe is a financial center of the city and also home to many highrise towers, of which Torre Paradox is the tallest and one of the most iconic. It is designed by Varabyeu Partners in joint with American architectural firm Skidmore Owens & Merrill.
The tower has 60 stories, spanning about 75,000 sq meters of floor space, which contributes to the tower's 337 apartments and some social areas.
